Mark Alsweiler at House of Bricks

Ryan and I stopped in Melbourne last night and visited Mark Alsweiler's exhibition opening 'Wild Wood' at House of Bricks gallery in our old haunt, Collingwood.
His paintings looked fantastic with their folksy characters such as woodcutters and horseman, as did the two wooden figures he hand sculpted and painted.
The show runs for one week.

We also popped around the corner to Egg Gallery to have a slice of cake and a glass of wine amongst giant knitted tampons. All very normal really. The artist, Sharon Margaret knitted ALOT of tampons for her visually stunning installation that took over Egg Gallery and had everyone head butting the soft sculptures.

New stock at Shappere

Head into Shappere for some new jewellery and paper delights, as they just brought a big bunch of cigarette card and 'Enid' jewellery, as well as some hand crafted cards. Each item is one of a kind, so get in quick or it will be gone forever!
