Great feature over at Harxest/Spaces, of Montreal based artist/taxidermist Kate Puxley.

'Small feet big boots' Window 99 show, June 2011.

The installation for my show 'Small feet big boots' went off without a hitch & the opening on Saturday was wonderful! Thanks to everyone that came & has a glass of mulled wine with me! The show runs until the 2nd July, so if you couldn't make the opening there is still time to go & have a peek. Here's some documentation of the installation:

window99 is an installation space in the window of 99 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. It is a not-for-profit, artist run space, open 24 hours a day, everyday.

Scott Weaver, 35 years, 100,000 toothpicks..

Scott Weaver is insane...in a good way! Over the past 35 years he has been building a giant model of San Francisco out of toothpicks: something you have to see to understand the effort involved.

John Dyer Baizley

I can't believe I haven't heard of this guy before - his work is amazing! John Dyer Baizley - if this doesn't inspire you to start drawing nothing will! On that note I think it is time for a drawing session..

Lost Fish

I am very much loving the illustrations of Lost Fish, who's Myspace I just came across. Her pieces are extremely pretty & creepy- my favourite combination! Just when I thought I was over the 'drawings of pretty lasses' art movement, this crosses my path:

Art & Ghosts

I don't think I've shared my love of Art & Ghosts, aka Louise Robinson with you before?! She creates the most beautiful pictures of spookiness combined with loveliness, that they often take my breath away..

Allyson Mellberg-Taylor

Oh, I really like this artist I stumbled upon on My Love For You, Allison Mellberg-Taylor and I admire her dedication to using only non- toxic materials in her work. This is definitely something I aspire to do in my own practise. It's actually really lovely listening to Wilco and perusing Allyson's work at the same time..try it.

Craft Hatch

I found out today that I will be having a stall on Saturday 13th February at the Craft Hatch market, held in the City Library. The market on this particular day will be held in conjunction with the Melbourne Sustainable Living Festival, so all stall holder's wares will be eco-friendly and/or sustainable.. The other designer's goodies look pretty great!
