My little caravan.

Today we worked on my caravan and I promised pictures, so here they are:

The caravan is pretty much a shell at this stage, we sealed up all the edges and nooks so that rain won't seep in..

then the painting begins...

Unfortunately we didn't have enough dusky green to paint the van so we have gone with a mixture of creams and whites, scraped together from old paints that were lying around in the shed..

And as the day draws to an end my little caravan is fresh as a daisy with her new coat of paint, there's still a while to go though! I'm so sad I have to leave her tomorrow and head back to Melbourne..

Caravan restoration.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I am having a little break at the family farm and am currently in the throes of choosing colours for my vintage carapark caravan which I am in the lengthy process of restoring. To get ideas I have been researching other restorations and have found some beautiful vans..

I want to keep the interior a bit rustic and not too sweet and polka dotty-which a lot of vintage caravans tend to be restored to. I do love pastels so I will incorporate them throughout, but I'll try to mix it up with some indigo, red and raw wooden cupboards. I'm still deciding whether to keep the exterior raw metal or a pastel shade. Hmmm too many decisions! I'll try to post a progress shot of the van soon..
